Tonio de la Goutelle

(Ogrion des Champs x El Paso Platiere)

TYPE OF MARE AND OFFSPRING

As of 2018 Ogrion was bred to more than 1,200 mares in France.
Thanks to the consistent results of his production, Ogrion made his entry in the WBFSH Top 100 showjumping ranked stallions (76th).

The quality of Ogrion's progeny serves as an evidence of his ability to improve and offset mares' weaknesses.

Some of his most famous offspring are:

  •  Tonic des Mets , 2015 French champion, CSI3*. CSI5* GP performer, with Jacques Helmlinger
  •  Tonio de la Goutelle, CSI3*. CSI5* GP performer, Team silver medalist 2018 Mediterranean Games with Alexandra Paillot

The “Ogrions” are always very well represented at the young horses Championships finals in Fontainebleau:

  • Callista *Numeror, finalist at 4, 5 and 6 years old
  •  Derby Landais, labeled " Very good " at the 5YO male championship final
  • Epona du Quesnoy, 8th in the 4 year old championship, labeled " Excellent "
  • Esope, 7th in the 4YO male championship final, labeled " Excellent " and approved stallion,

His model and the qualities of jumper he transmits are also very popular in the pony circuit:

  • Uttika, winner in CSIP and Elite As
  • Urico des Chesnaies, , winner in CSIP and Elite As
  • Uline des Chesnaie, 4th in the French 7YO Pony Championship, qualified for the French Pony Elite Championship in 2018
  • Tibus des Lecheres ranked Elite...

Ogrion des Champs has a smaller and harmonious model. He’ll fit larger mares as he doesn’t transmit size. He’ll also fits pony mares for the same reason.

His production exhibits blood, great mind, suppleness, fast take-off and time in the air. He brings energy and balance. He will improve the mare’s scope and canter.

According to the stallion owner: “Ogrion is a smart cocktail between Kannan's strength and the blood of his dam line; Ogrion's production is displaying its talent, more and more, year after year.”
According to one of his former groom: ”Ogrion was a very nice smaller horse. He was very easy to deal with and loved to work.”
